Our Story
With over 65 years of combined experience in the real estate and the construction industry Dan, and Jared decided to continue their passion in 2018 with a new venture know as Cypress Bay Development. Dan Beiter has been in the construction industry here in SW Florida for the past 45 years. While he’s always been involved in some facet of construction Dan began his large scale production experience with the national home builder Centex Homes in 1996. Dan most recently was a founder and principal of Riverview Homes specializing in remodeling and custom home construction in the Fort Myers and Naples markets. Dan also serves on a number of construction related Government Oversight committees, and is the immediate past president of the Lee BIA, and current President of the BIA’s charitable arm, Builder’s Care. Jared Gray started working with his father who was a custom home builder at an early age and was always taught to take great pride in his work. He graduated from Clemson University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management. After graduation is when Jared and Dan first met as he started his construction career with Centex Homes of SW Florida. Jared was with Centex Homes for 10 years where he worked in residential, multi-family and land development construction in both SW FL and Tennessee. For the past 20 years Jared has made a hobby of seeking out residential investment opportunities to remodel. While mostly working in construction Jared has also always had a love for horticulture and landscaping. Jared’s knowledge of vertical construction, engineering and development experience, along with a landscaping background provides him a unique and valuable skill set. Problem solving with budgets in mind is a natural focus for both Dan and Jared. Newly added to the team is Mike Dodds he has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Mike has been part of every task imaginable in the building process. He started out as a clean-up worker on projects as a young man, and then with more involvement and dedication honed his skills as a carpenter, crew leader and builder. He uses these years of hands on experience to now manage the many details of his Residential and Commercial projects. He takes pride in the small details and is dedicated to producing the highest quality product to his customers. With over 20 years of experience in the landscaping industry Jared Gray decided to continue his passion with a new venture know as Cypress Bay Landscaping. He worked closely with golf course and landscape architects along with engineers in developing communities and golf courses, inclusive of amenities and clubhouse facilities. During this time Jared realized his love and passion for landscaping and in 2009 was presented an opportunity to work with a large landscape firm. Jared started with Mainscape as a Project Manager and worked his way up to Regional Manager of SWFL over a period of 9 years. He was instrumental in taking Mainscape from $8M to over $20M in annual revenue for the Florida market. Starting out as a Project Manager overseeing projects and crews in Naples and Fort Myers Jared quickly sought out other challenges. He took on the role of Regional Customer Service Manager focusing on ways to ensure customer satisfaction through timely responsiveness and personal touch. With his background in construction and engineering Jared was also responsible for all estimating and bidding during his tenure with Mainscape. Problem solving with budgets in mind is a natural focus for Jared and he’s always had a natural owner/ operator mentality. He’s excited to be able to ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and business integrity.
